RyBlog 5000 - I've got time on my hands and I want the whole web to know!
Where's the Grand Old Party?Over the Fourth of July weekend we took a trip to Washington, D.C.  We spent most of our time walking from monument to monument, occasionally stopping for a meal at a great local restaurant.  Much like Paris, there's always another interesting landmark in sight, begging to be hiked to.  And although the last two days were very hot, we had a great time and got to expose Maxwell to museums, art galleries, the zoo, a folk fest, and lots of other interesting sights.

Our hotel was on K Street, not far from the White House, but the smell wasn't that bad and luckily we weren't mugged even once by lobbyists.

I just saw your chimp-o-matic. I am quite embarrassed that you would think that is something acceptable to publish. I am a Democrat and ashamed that our party is so foolish and lame in our tactics. This is just as embarrassing. We are never going to win back our country because the Democratic leaders and voices like you produce two-faced dribble like this as an acceptable face to display. If you had any hope for our values you would spend your time doing something really beneficial to our beliefs and create something that promotes values instead of letting people think that ridiculing someone is acceptable human practice for those opposed to what Bush is doing.

    Nate (or is it Karl?):

I can tell that you're a Republican --you have no sense of humor. And you think that ridiculing the worst U.S. president ever somehow gives comfort to the enemy.

Oh, and let me share something to make your day a little worse my crypto-Republican friend...
Even though it's hard to maintain hope, I still volunteer my time and money to candidates and causes I believe in. What have you done lately?

Is that your way out? Claim I am republican? Well doesnt that speak volumes. Your right, I'm am republican because I think ridiculing is a waste of time and that we are getting slaughtered by the conservative media! Hello are we listening to ourselves here? Why can't we have an honest intelligent liberal source of information?

What am I doing? Look right here. Taking the time to attack the infestation. Our party is sick from lack of representation. I am writing because you are a major face, and you don't stand for our beliefs you stand for our weakness. Wasting the strength of your voice.

Why don't you just fold up shop and go work for the New York Times. You'll fit right in.

Love your site! I put "Chimp-o-Matic on my Google home page. Problem is, it would be funny if it wasn't also so true! This admin is downright scary. I'm disabled and bedridden, but still write 10-15 letters and petitions a day to my congressional reps--it's all I can do, but I have hope that it helps in some way. I think your site helps too--education through humor is always cool! Thanks for your contribution to sanity!

Don't just love it when you make em mad? LOL.
Love your site. Chimp-O-Matic is pure gold.

I think society is like a pendulum. It swings back and forth.
Its been on the swing to the hard right for along time now.
The harder they push in one direction the farther it will swing in the
Other. I think it’s about to break and swing free. Look at how the
Children of the extreme right act once they leave the nest. For example
Behavior at spring break. … Not to conservative. ?

Things are going to change. Keep your voice up and be heard. Even if they
Don’t listen they hear and somewhere like a seed it takes root. Free speech
    Is the root of freedom.

Anyway, don’t let them get to ya. If they get mad you know they are listening.

Besides I’ll take a perv in office over a moron.

Tomestone: Freedom 7/4/1776 - 10/26/2001. (patriot act signing date)
And yes for all you supporters of the patriot act; I am willing to accept
The risk of death to preserve my freedom.

nate/karl/wn8- whichever name you choose: embarrassing are the quotes that dribble from the lips of g.w.! Chimp-0-Matic just brings them to life and it's sad that you don't see the humor in it. :-(

    Hey Rainingwolf, Mouse, Bonnita!

Good to hear that the blogosphere is still optimistic and working on pushing the pendulum of political thought back towards reason. Sooner or later (sooner I hope) Americans will get sick of government corruption and sacrificing our freedoms for a false sense of security. In the meantime we'll just keep trying to wake the politically asleep. Always remember that it's the work of ordinary people that makes the pendulum swing.

Thanks for visiting Haywood. I've got a lot of respect for Republicans that can admit the Emperor has no clothes. Let's all hope for better choices in 2008.
